Give Thanks, Feel Calm, Live Longer

It’s easy to get lost within your body, to focus on the purely physical part of yourself. Having a great healthy body is wonderful of course, however that is just one part of who you really are. Your body is just an outward representation of your inner self – your mind and your spirit.

Unless you can truly harmonize and balance all three aspects of your being, you will be in a state if imbalance, which will most certainly lead to illness and disease of your physical body in the long term. It’s not a matter of if, but when. You see Anti Aging is more than just focusing on the physical body.

Body, mind and spirit are completely and totally integrated, as the ancient Taoists believed. Too many negative emotions, such as anger, fear, greed, hate, jealousy, and cruelty can lead to an imbalance within your energy system or meridians, which can in turn lead to malfunctioning internal organs. In time this leads to disease and sickness which is manifested by physical symptoms.

For truly remarkable health, first start with your mind and spirit and do whatever you can do make them both calm, peaceful and full of positive emotions such as love, happiness, forgiveness, gratefulness, and joy.

A simple yet very powerful method of doing this is just to take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to just close your eyes and start to breathe deeply and slowly filling up your lungs with vital oxygen. As you do this, start feeling grateful for what you have in your life right now. Go through all the things that you are grateful for in your life and give thanks for these. As you do so smile to yourself and feel the happiness flow throughout your body. Feel the peaceful energy revitalize your energy systems and start to recharge all your organs. Visualize that all your organs are being strengthened and are once again functioning at their peak. Give thanks again for this, and for being the healthy, wonderful, loving person that you are. Open your eyes and you will feel so much better, happier, and re-energized.

Even though you may be going through a lot of stress, there are many things that you can truly be grateful for, yet most of us fail to take notice of these and instead just focus on all the things that are giving us stress. The more you focus on the stress and worry in your life, the more of it you will get. The more you can calm your mind and spirit and focus on all the good things in your life that you are truly grateful for , the more good things you will start to receive. And in turn the healthier your body will be as you have reduced your stress levels considerably.

Give Thanks more often – thank people for their support and care and love: thank the universe for giving you another lovely day to enjoy: thank your partner for all the love and joy they have given you over the years. Even thank your cat or dog for being such a great companion and staying by your side at all times.

There is so much you can be grateful and thankful for, but sadly most of us just choose to ignore all these wonderful things in our lives on a daily basis.

Forget the negative, focus on the positive and the joyful things in your life, and you will instantly feel calmer, happier, and more peaceful.
